1961
"Polar air-heater plant" founded in Burgau

1975 Takeover of the "Polar air-heater plant" by the AL-KO Group, manufacture of electric Air Heaters

1976 Manufacturing activities extended to include hot-water radiators, process heat components and heat pumps

1977 Takeover of the ORION Werke AG Spreitenbach, Switzerland on February 10, 1977. Founding of ORION AL-KO AG

1979 Takeover of Schobel-Klimatechnik (air-conditioning technology) in Ettenbeuren to complete the product spectrum with air-conditioning and ventilation equipment

1984 Grouping together of the various production plants in Jettingen-Scheppach

1988 Company name changed to AL-KO THERM GMBH, machine factory. Development of equipment performance characteristics and manufacturing of a TÜV-approved air measuring test rig

1990 AL-KO Dust Extraction Technology established and started with manufacture of extraction units / components for dust and chippings

1991 AL-KO THERM WITTENBERG GMBH established for the pre-fabrication of equipment components and the production of standard-type equipment

1993 Development and launch of AIR-vent ventilating-fan component

1994 Certification of the above plants according to DIN ISO 9001 standard

1995 Organizational merger of the individual companies active in HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning technology) to form "AL-KO Air Technology", comprising Industrial Air Technology, Air-Conditioning and Ventilation Technology and Dust Extraction Technology business units

1996 Launch of new AT4 product family, a process-oriented, computer-aided modular system for centralized air-conditioning equipment.

1999 Broke the 100 Million turnover limit for the first time

2001 AL-KO becomes "Air Technology" market leader in Germany
