| The
AL-KO AiR-vent
is a modern ventilation system with a double-entry radial rotating
impeller with backward-curved blades. |
 |
 |
The
impeller is mounted directly on the motor shaft, its central
air-intake nozzle and compact spring-cushioned fan motor unit
make the AIR-vent an easy-to-access, service- and maintenance-friendly
functional unit. |
Precise
setpoint with adjustable nozzle gap
The
size of the type-related gap between impeller and air-intake
nozzle can be altered via axial adjustment to the fan's motor
unit. This nozzle-gap adjustment allows exact setting of the
fan's setpoint without the usual, effort-intensive change of
the V-belt pulley not only on commissioning but also throughout
the system's service life.
Nozzle-gap
adjustment developed by AL-KO THERM is a simple and cost-effective
alternative to adjusting the setpoint via rotational speed adjustment.
AIR-vent offers standard higher performance for room-air conditioners
at the same cost. |

 |
In
contrast to double-flow radial fans with a spiral housing, a
clearly smaller share of overall pressure increase is converted
into dynamic pressure when impeller-type radial fans are used.
The special design causes a clear reduction in internal flow
losses.
|
 |
Thanks
to direct fan actuation, losses are reduced to a minimum. The
high static conveying flow rate allows mean energy savings of
up to 25%.

 |
Volume-flow
adjustment
Speed
adjustment represents the most cost-effective manner of aligning
the fan output of an air-conditioner to actual requirements.
In line with the laws of proportionality, a halving of speed
results in a 50% smaller volume flow and reduces the required
power to as little as 12.5%.
|
 |
Apart
from the reduced energy consumption and savings in operational
costs associated therewith speed adjustment has further benefits:
- lower sound emissions
- less mechanical stress acting on the entire system
- less filter load and thus longer service life |
