The VDGS/TKA series compact units were developed specifically for use in spraying and drying chambers as well as in drying plants for treating cereal, tobacco and wood.

The equipment consists of three units:
-Module T: Heat exchanger component
-Module K: component for feeding fresh air and circulating air with a built-in filter
-Module A: component for outgoing air and change-over damper

The change-over damper in module A offers a choice of circulating air or fresh air operation. The exhaust ventilator is turned off during circulating air operation.
The amount of outgoing air utilised during the drying phase can be manually adjusted using a bypass valve.

Operating Point Setting
Process air units from AL-KO with free-running rotating ventilator wheels stand out by the motor-ventilator unit axial adjustability, which facilitates a precise operating point setting. This means that both motor and ventilator work efficiently keeping energy consumption low. The easy to use mechanism makes it easy to make fine adjustments once on-site.

Easy Maintenance
It is easy to access the various ventilator components, filters can be removed and cleaning shafts of the heat exchanger are easily accessed by way of a separate cover. Our units can thus be easily and cost-effectively maintained.

Enamelling
The change-over damper is set to "Enamelling"
Fresh air and exhaust ventilators are in constant operation
Burner turns itself off depending on the fresh air temperature

Drying
The change-over damper is set to "Drying"
Exhaust ventilator is not in use
Fresh air ventilator operates as circulating air ventilator
The burner provides heat based on the circulating air temperature
